Ads & the Wallet

Last updated: September 8, 2026

AvenAI is free to use because it is ad-funded. This page explains, in plain language, how ads appear in the App and how your virtual wallet works — including the limits that protect you.

The wallet, in one paragraph

Every AI message costs a small amount of balance, shown to you before you send it (the model picker displays each model's per-message price). You start with a free starter balance. When it runs low, you can top it up — free — by watching a short rewarded ad, or by redeeming a promo code we give away. Balance is not money: it is a measure of App usage, as described in our Terms.

Rewarded ads — always your choice

Who serves the ads

Ads are served by Google AdMob. Depending on your consent choices, Google and its partners may use the device advertising ID and similar signals to select and measure ads. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a consent form appears before ads load, letting you choose personalized or non-personalized ads — or decline personalization while still using the App. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Ad verification (anti-fraud)

To credit your balance after a rewarded ad, we verify the view with Google's Server-Side Verification (SSV): Google's servers tell ours — signed and tamper-proof — that a real rewarded view happened. This is why nobody can fake rewards, and why your earned balance is trustworthy.

TL;DR

Rewarded ads are opt-in and capped. Interstitials are rare and only at natural breaks. Sponsored cards are labeled. Your balance is earned by choice and spent visibly — never real money, never a surprise.
